No more asking “where’s the album?”. The beloved St. Louis artist, Smino, released a 15-track album, ‘Luv 4 Rent’, four years after the release of his previous album, ‘NOIR’. The long-awaited album shows Smino’s groovy melodic style and lyrical talent. As usual, he delivered a thrilling rollout all throughout ‘Droptober’. He furthered the excitement even more with news of an upcoming tour.

‘Luv 4 Rent’ cover and tracklist

The Zero Fatigue and Motown artist did not disappoint with his unique style and clever wordplay in ‘Luv 4 Rent’. Smino uses his wordplay with his name throughout ‘Luv 4 Rent’, like his mention of “Smi-lon Musk” in ‘Ole Ass Kendrick’. The album starts with an introduction by his cousin that shows his deep family bonds. He shows love to his family, himself, and to his hometown of St. Louis throughout the album. Listeners can tell that Smino has been experimenting with his unique style and enhancing his production. Smino had produced some of the songs himself, but also worked alongside others he has worked closely with for years, like Monte Booker. It is hard to pinpoint Smino to one genre. According to his recent Tweet, he is his own genre.

Smino secured big features on this album with Lil Uzi Vert, Lucky Daye, Doechii, Ravyn Lenae, and more, who all fit perfectly with Smino’s style. Shortly after the release of ‘Luv 4 Rent’, Smino dropped a video for ‘90 Proof’ with J. Cole and recently appeared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, performing his songs ‘Lee & Lovie’ and ‘Blu Billy’. This has left viewers anticipating his upcoming Kribmas show in St. Louis at the Stifel Theatre on December 18 and his co-headlining tour, ‘Luv is 4 ever’, with JID in 2023. Grab your tickets now as shows are already starting to sell out.
