Songstress Sydney Raneé debuts 4-track EP 'Wake up and Get it'

Soulful with a dash a funk is how singer song-writer Sydney Raneé describes her music. Hailing from Los Angeles, CA Sydney Raneé was born to make music. With her genre of music fitting into the Prince, Solange and Jill Scott’s of the world, Sydney experimental sound is showcased in her music. After releasing several singles and EP’s Sydney is back with with a debut of her EP Wake and Get it letting her listeners explore the “four stages of self love.” She takes her fans through a journey of up’s and down that is incredibly realistic. Sydney draws her listeners deeper and deeper into her world by being eccentric yet smooth and using shrinking melodies throughout her EP.

Self-love, Lust, Falling in Love and Exclusive Love. I decided to the name the EP after the title track. A song about overcoming depression and living each day to the fullest.

Extremely passionate about music, Sydney Raneé has been singing professionally since the young age of 10. With years of experience, her production for the EP is a direct reflection of the hard work she has put in over the years.

The journey hasn’t always been easy. There’s been a lot of ups and downs plus this industry can be harsh at times. I’m still here though. I love what I do and that gives me the strength to power through.

The EP is gentle yet powerful and full of warm passionate singing. With a strong emphasis on self love in all aspects, Sydney is an artist to look out for. When asked what makes her rare, Sydney replied,

My vibe, my voice and my overall approach to music makes me rare. I pull inspiration from practically anywhere. I don’t try to fit into any genre because my sound is so much more than that. My sound is just “feel good music”.
