WATCH: NorthAve Jax Reflects On His Toxic Tendencies With "Awful"

NorthAve Jax recently released a visual to “Awful”, which is the opening track off his debut mixtape entitled ‘LaZy, but i have goals'.

The video portrays the LVRN superstar in a self-reflective state of mind as he plays three different character personas. The single shows off Jax’s impactful lyricism through the dark experiences and situations he has gone through in which he has only been able to express musically.

LaZy, but i have goals' fulfills the idea that goal setting and goal achieving are not dependent on whether you live in a small town. Through 10 tracks the mixtape serves to communicate a heart-felt understanding of those who may have lost their way or are struggling to find it as nothing worth having had come easy for North Ave Jax while growing up in section 8 housing on North Ave. Irrespective of him becoming one of the state’s best athletes, the 20 year-old carried himself stoically which led to a constant battle with his inner struggles of anxiety, substance abuse, and everything in between.

Earlier this year we got the chance to chat with him about how he overcame those adversities and what led him to making music. His creative approach towards sharing his story is a testament to his lyrical abilities. We’re excited to continue watching his journey.
