Menswear Maven and Style Enthusiast, Jhoanna Alba Has No Fear in the Fashion Industry

The 19th Annual Players’ Wives Fashion Show was held during Super Bowl LIV weekend in partnership with Miami Design District. Wives and fiancés’ of current and former NFL players get to walk the runway in the most exclusive fashion while raising money for charity. One of the designers featured in this year’s show was menswear maven and style enthusiast, Jhoanna Alba of the ALBA Agency. Jhoanna is a stylist and designer to many people in the sports and entertainment industry. Her client list includes Dwayne Johnson, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, Magic Johnson and far more than I can keep listing. I got to chat with Jhoanna before the fashion show. Johanna Alba: I’m overwhelmed…..with blessings.

YOU LOOK AMAZING, CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT WHAT YOU’RE WEARING TODAY?

Everything is custom made. My inspiration came from the 19th amendment with Women’s Rights. So, we’re here to celebrate women.

HOW ARE YOU HONORING WOMEN TODAY?

 I actually hired female artists that are up and coming for this custom piece. They hand-painted on my kimono. I just wanted to empower women and that’s what I feel like I’m doing today.

THAT’S AMAZING. WHAT KEEPS YOU GOING AS A WOMAN IN A MALE DOMINATED INDUSTRY?

What keeps me going is that I don’t live in fear, I live in faith. That’s what keeps me going.
